Privacy Policy
What we keep, what we do not, who processes it, and your rights, in plain English. Last updated: November 1, 2026.
Who we are
GNETICS Assets is operated by Technologies GNETICS Inc. ("GNETICS", "we"), province of Quebec, Canada. We handle personal information in line with Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector) and applicable Canadian law. What we collect
- Account: your email address and your password, which we store only as a salted hash.
- Orders: the packages you bought, license type, price, payment status and the hidden identifier of your license.
- Downloads: the date and IP address of each download, to protect your license and detect leaks.
- Proof of acceptance: when you create an account we keep the date, the version of our policies, your IP address and browser.
- Billing: handled by Stripe; we store a Stripe session reference, never your card number.
- Emails: receipts and account messages about your orders.
- Basic logs: time, route and status of requests, for operations and abuse detection.
What we do not do
- No advertising, tracking pixels or session-replay tools, and no analytics service.
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them.
Why we use it
To run your account, take payment, deliver and re-deliver your files, protect the licenses of all buyers, answer support requests, prevent fraud and meet our legal and accounting duties.
Service providers
We rely on a few providers, each needed to run the service:
- Hostinger: hosting of the Canadian server where our data lives.
- Stripe, Inc.: payment processing. Card data goes directly to Stripe.
- Google Fonts: the site loads its typefaces from Google, which therefore receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Email delivery: for receipts and account messages.
Hidden identifier in your files
The files you download carry an identifier that links the copy to your license. It is not personal data by itself, but we can link it to your order. We use it only to deal with unauthorized copies, as described in the Terms of Service.
Cookies
We use only what is needed to keep you signed in (a session cookie) and your cart (stored in your browser). No advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights (Law 25)
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent for non-essential messages, and to receive your data in a usable format. Write to contact.gnetics@gmail.com. We answer within the delays set by law. If a breach presenting a risk of serious injury occurs, we notify the people affected and the Commission d'acces a l'information as required.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. On request we delete your account. We keep the order and billing records we must retain for accounting and legal reasons, and the license records needed to protect our files, for as long as the law or a legitimate interest requires.
Security
HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, private package files that are never served publicly, download links that expire, and access limits on administration. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data as our own.
Changes and contact
